The idea for UpScored was born from a personal frustration. Searching for a job isn’t fun. In fact, it’s exhausting. Hours are spent filtering through job sites and creating lists of potential prospects. Applications are time-consuming - and oftentimes it’s hard to know whether you qualify or not. Companies have a similar problem. The process is frustrating for hiring teams, too. We certainly found this to be true at our last company.
So, we set out to create UpScored. Our mission is based on three components.
Candidates First. UpScored was built to make discovering your next career move pleasant and personalized. We’re advocates for the job seeker - YOU come first, at all times. This principle is paramount in each and every decision we make.
Practical Data, Practically Applied. Our solution applies data science techniques to the inefficiencies in the talent market. That said, data is only powerful if it’s applied in a practical way. We’re with Albert Einstein: “Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.” While data drives our product, your feedback is our most important input.
Keep It Fun. Our goal is to help you be happy in your career. We wouldn’t be able to reach that goal without loving our own jobs. At UpScored, we work hard but we keep it light, and most of the time we forget we’re “at work.”
